Shostakovich celebrated in a unique Swedish – Danish collaboration
He was without a doubt one of the twentieth century’s most important musical figures and this year would have celebrated his one hundredth birthday. The Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich will be celebrated this year all over the world – in the Öresund region both Danish and Swedish musical talent will be combined for a fantastic festival giving the opportunity to listen to amongst other pieces all of Shostakovich’s symphonies.

The festival takes place mainly in Copenhagen, Malmö and Helsingborg and also includes chamber music, concerts for children and young people, lectures and theatre.
